Father Alex

Father Alex is a native Texan born and raised in Bexar County. He entered the seminary in 1999 at St. John's Seminary in Camarillo, CA. After completing his undergraduate studies in philosophy and psychology, he moved back to San Antonio in the fall of 2004, resided at Assumption Seminary, and continued his graduate studies in theology at Oblate Theology. He completed his Theological studies M. Div in 2008 and was ordained to the priesthood in May 2008. 

Father Alex's first parish assignment was as Parochial Vicar at St. John Neumann from June 2008 to June 2009. Then, he was appointed to Holy Trinity in Stone Oak on July 1st, 2009, and in June 2011. In July 2011, after two years, he was appointed Director of Vocations for the Archdiocese of San Antonio. One year later, in 2012, he was appointed pastor of St. Mary Somerset, along with his present assignment as Director of Vocations. In June 2016, he completed his assignment as Director of Vocations. He remained pastor of St. Mary Somerset and took on St. Peter the Fisherman in Von Ormy. At the end of June 2018, he completed the assignment of both St. Mary Somerset and St. Peter. On July 2, 2018, he was appointed Pastor of St. John Neumann. 

This journey continues to be an amazing adventure with God and God's people.
