Pastoral Council

IMG_0504.JPG

The Pastoral Council exists to serve the people of God. The Council is drawn from the parish membership and represents the Mystical Body of Christ in St. John Neumann parish.

The Pastoral Council serves as a consultative body for the pastor. Using the Pastoral Council’s input, the Pastor is responsible for directing the parish. The purpose of the Pastoral Council is to be an instrument of common counsel for the determination of goals and policies and the execution of programs in matters of the spiritual and temporal welfare of the parish.

Finance Council

The St. John Neumann Finance Council is a consultative body of parishioners with special competence in financial and business management matters. The council members offer their time and talents to advise and support the Pastor in administering parish financial operations. Although the Code of Cannon Law reserves the right of final decision-making to the Pastor, it intends for Pastors to seek the advice of parish finance councils when prudent and necessary. To this end, the Pastor includes the St. John Neumann Finance Council in the parish financial decision-making process.

Our faith impels us to defend the gift of life from conception till natural death through all its different transitions. That is why this committee works to create a greater appreciation for the lives of the unborn, the orphans, the unemployed, the poor, the elderly, the immigrants, etc. We do outreach ministry in all its stages.

Parish Grounds Maintenance

The Knights of Columbus come together on a Sunday to maintain the church ground lawn. They mow, edge, and trim the grass. It's the little things that make our Church that much nicer.

The more men and women that help, the faster it goes. The Church provides the hardware, gas, and refreshments. We need your strength and some time. Please consider volunteering.

Fatima Garden Maintenance

A group of dedicated parishioners who like praying in our lovely prayer garden performs maintenance of the Fatima Garden. There are neither meetings nor a regular schedule other than cutting grass on Thursday of each week. Volunteers of all ages and genders are invited to help clean bedded areas, manicure bushes, spread mulch, and perform other tasks as needed.

SJN Library

St. John Neumann parish provides a superb library that is a valuable resource. It is reserved for our parishioners to check or use at no charge. We hope the material will help you grow in knowledge and love of our Lord. There are many items for the whole family to enjoy. The library is on the Church Courtyard's left side (across from the Blessed Sacrament Chapel).
