Belize Mission Trip – 2012
During this year’s week-long mission trip, eleven participants made the journey to Belize. Nine of the missioners were from St John Neumann Catholic Church, to include the Pastor. The participants assisted a local contractor and his crew in preparing the roof top of the new recreational center for the elderly. Heavy wrought iron rods had to be delivered to the roof top by hand and then tied in-place with wire. Three days were dedicated to this physically demanding and laborious work. The missioners also helped distribute warm meals to the home-bound as well as delivered other goods and much needed supplies to the poor and marginalized from two rural villages. Throughout the cities and villages visited, the missioners evangelized to their brothers and sisters of Belize by their demonstrated unselfishness and willingness to serve God’s people.
